There are some people out there who are very good at concealing their true nature. A profoundly destructive person can hide behind the mask of "normalcy." These individuals can be hypersensitive. They seem to oscillate internally between grandiosity and feelings of deep insecurity, inferiority, and inadequacy.
These simmering feelings seem to manifest in a far more subtle way, making it hard to initially pick up on. Eventually, you might start to notice (hopefully) the levels of self referencing (all about them, me me me). They are so painfully sensitive to any type of criticism.
They view this as a "betrayal," you "owed" them adoration and constant praise. Their black-and-white thinking causes them to view you as an "enemy." You're either for them, or against them.
They are super sensitive to insults, or feeling like they have been "slighted." They may not acknowledge these feelings to anyone, but rather bottle them up inside while they brood and seethe about it.
The interesting thing ...
